L’Association EmBuscaDe et l’Association étudiante LUSOMUNDO organisent cette année la 2ème édition du Festival PICTA LUSA, projet labellisé par la SAISON FRANCE – PORTUGAL 2022 (Institut Français), en collaboration avec les enseignant.e.s et les étudiant.e.s du Département d’Études portugaises et brésiliennes, dans le cadre des « Pratiques Pédagogiques Diversifiées » (ex APP), avec le soutien de l’Université de Poitiers, la Maison des Étudiants, la Ville de Poitiers / Grand Poitiers, la Région Nouvelle Aquitaine, le Département de la Vienne, le Ministère des Affaires Étrangères portugais, le CROUS, entre autres.

Dans le cadre du Mois d’accueil des étudiants, du consortium EC2U et du jumelage Ville de Poitiers – Ville de Coimbra:

• 17-20 septembre : Accueil de la QUANTUNNA, « tuna *» étudiante de la Faculté des Sciences et Technologie de l’Université de Coimbra

– Samedi 17/09: centre-ville, 17h-18h.
– Dimanche 18/09: La Guinguette Pictave, 17h et 18h.
– Lundi 19/09: Campus Universitaire, Restaurant Universitaire Rabelais, 12h, Maison des Étudiants, 16h et 18h30.
– Mardi 20/09: Centre-ville, 16h-18h.

*Une « tuna » est un groupe formé par des étudiant.e.s musicien/ne.s dans les universités portugaises. La Quantunna a été créée par un groupe d’amis avec une caractéristique commune: une grande passion pour la musique, l’esprit et les traditions universitaires de la région de Coimbra. Plus de 30 musiques originales composent son répertoire, naturellement ancrées dans cet esprit mais également influencées par la Musique Populaire Portugaise. À cela s’ajoutent quelques adaptations du répertoire musical portugais ainsi que de celui de la « Chanson de Coimbra ». Depuis plus de 25 ans, la Quantunna représente au-delà des frontières le nom de sa faculté, bien comme celui de la ville de Coimbra!

Dans le cadre de Campus Sonore:

•  15 octobre: Concert de NOISERV – Maison des Étudiants, 20h30

Noiserv (David Santos de son vrai nom), auteur compositeur multi-instrumentiste, surnommé « l’homme-orchestre », crée un univers poétique envoûtant et original. Qu’il chante en portugais ou en anglais, il exprime une part de ce que la musique portugaise actuelle produit de meilleur, à travers des créations novatrices qui renouvellent les codes du rythme et des genres musicaux, et traversent les frontières.

• 22 octobre: Concert de fado de MíSIA – Palais des Ducs d’Aquitaine (Salle des Pas Perdus), 20h, coorganisé avec le Palais

Pour clôturer le festival Picta Lusa et la Saison France Portugal, la très talentueuse Mísia, une des plus grandes voix du fado, viendra présenter son dernier Album, Animal Sentimental, et ses plus grands succès dans un lieu chargé d’histoire. Adulée du public français, Mísia renouvelle les codes du fado tout en s’inspirant de ses origines traditionnelles. Elle chante les plus grands poètes portugais tout en exploitant une tradition ibérique élargie et en introduisant dans quelques-unes de ses dernières productions de nouveaux sons, comme ceux de la guitare électrique.

In addition to the Sciences Po campuses in Le Havre, Menton, and Reims that have welcomed Dual BA Program students since the Program’s inauguration in 2010, the Poitiers campus will begin welcoming incoming Dual BA students in Fall 2022.

The Dual BA Program Between Columbia University and Sciences Po announced last week that applicants to the Program may now apply for admission to the Sciences Po Poitiers campus starting with the incoming class of Fall 2022.

The Poitiers campus, situated in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France, is housed in a former Jacobin convent that dates back to the early 18th century. The campus was first established in 2001 and is now home to 275 students from over 30 countries. 

With an academic program centered on Euro-Latin American social sciences, the campus hosts students from Latin America and those students interested in furthering the understanding of the region, exchanging with Latin America, and engaging in dialogue between Latin America, Europe, and the world. Life on campus means being in close touch with the region while surrounded by the beauty of an exceptional historic setting.  

Poitiers is the fourth Sciences Po campus to officially welcome Dual BA students as part of this internationally-renowned partnership, joining the campuses in Le Havre, Menton, and Reims that have been part of the Dual BA Program since the Program’s launch in 2010.

We are thrilled to add the Poitiers campus, and its Latin American focus, to the Dual BA Program Between Columbia University and Sciences Po, further enriching one of the most innovative and diverse undergraduate educational programs in the country, and providing prospective students with an even broader array of academic tracks and areas of focus. Lisa Rosen-Mestch, Dean of the Columbia University School of General Studies

Dual BA students spend their first two years at Sciences Po, France’s leading university for the social sciences, studying a specific region of the world on one of four campuses, after which they matriculate at Columbia to complete a major and the University’s Core Curriculum in years three and four. Dedicated Dual BA Program advisors from both Sciences Po and Columbia are assigned to students as soon as they enroll, providing guidance and support on academics and student life.

This multidisciplinary educational experience, focused in the humanities and social sciences, provides students with a strong liberal arts education while empowering them to succeed in an increasingly complex and fast-changing world.

The addition of the Poitiers campus to the Dual BA Program builds upon the decade-long partnership between the Columbia School of General Studies and Sciences Po. The Program currently has 400 students enrolled across all four years and already boasts more than 400 alumni around the world.
